Slow travel is for winners

It implies, to the ‘fast’ traveller, that you’ll be taking it slow (read: boring) rather than the fast-paced, action-packed trip that they’ll be on.

When in fact, what you’ll really be doing on this slow trip could include having a decidedly raucous, feni-filled adventure in a lush plantation, or going cliff-diving in a waterfall or eating a seven-course meal prepared by a local chef. It’s anything but slow. What it is, however, is regenerative. It gives back to the community in spades while blessing you with the best experiences the place has to offer. And the only thing ‘slow’ about it, is how long these memories will take to leave you.

Yachting and Kayaking

The weather in Goa is now perfect for a day out on the water. Sail on the Chapora river in a small yacht, stand-up paddle in the middle of the river or head into the Mangroves for a leisurely kayak. Swim in the river with nothing but the blue sky for company and grab a few beverages when you’re back on the boat. This is a leisurely, out-in-nature experience you won’t want to miss.

The Floating Feni in Cansaulim, Goa

If you have an adventurous palate, and you like alcohol even a little bit, this is a no-brainer. If you don’t, go for the unforgettable experience of being seated in a floating table set within a natural pool. You’re surrounded by palm trees and the scent of cashew fruit, and the entire plantation is yours alone. We’ve had kids, elderly folk, sworn teetotallers and “Feni haters” try it and tell us it’s the best thing they’ve done – and not just in Goa.

Note: Rs 2500++ per person; includes a full tasting experience, feni tour, food pairing and exclusive spring water seating. Groups of minimum 2 and a maximum of 15 people.
